Eminem, the real slim shady and the fastest rapper mark 11th year of his sobriety and drug control.
Eminem is now acting mature and celebrated this occasion for the milestone of 11 years by posting a picture of sobriety coin on his palm on Instagram and Twitter.
“11 Years- And still not afraid”, the rapper wrote in his tweet.
Eminem posted a same picture on his social media back when he was performing at Coachella.
The Detroit slim shady, now much mature and reinforced from his past experiences has always been open about his drug addiction and has publicized it despite the severe criticism from fans and followers all around the Globe regarding his general and mental health.
“It’s no secret I had a drug problem,” he told Vibe magazine in 2009. “If I was to give you a number of Vicodin I would actually take in a day? Anywhere between 10 to 20. Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don’t even know what I was taking.”
Eminem consulted Rihab in 2005 to get free from his sleeping pill addiction that was prevalent soon before his excessive drug use. However, the rapper could not hold it for long and was once hospitalized for his excessive Methadone usage and ultimately leading to an overdose that caused him to remain hospitalized for around a week.
It wasn’t until 2008 that Eminem decided the drugs were not the option and he had to refrain from it. According to the New York Times, he checked himself into rehab early that year and started the full 12-step program of a recovering addict and ultimately succeeded in doing so.
